BECOME... Devoted

My name is Jamie Tague. I love people, coffee, and rock climbing. I moved from Kansas to Dallas for nursing school 3 years ago, which was a challenging change, and grew my trust in God. (If you’re new to Dallas hit me up and we can get coffee!!)  Amidst all, God has always been faithful in my life! I joined the BECOME Network after being invited to attend an Underground event (for more information check out this link). In witnessing BECOME’s pure vision to live out the gospel, I wanted in! I have been equipped and given many opportunities to share the gospel in Dallas, which in turn has grown my faith and love for God! I have seen God's power work through His people being faithful and obedient to His command to go and love others. The community and friends I have found through BECOME have been life-changing and life-giving!

Devoted: to give all or a large part of one’s time or resources to (a person, activity, or cause); to be very loving or loyal. I want to become devoted. Through various struggles the past 3 years my hope, identity, and what I held as truth were challenged. The temptations that developed were anxiety, despair, and doubt. “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand,” says the old hymn that describes where to find firmness as all else in this world is fleeting. I have confidence that Christ is the way, the truth, and the life! This world, other people, and the deceiver of the brethren will say and offer much, but joy, freedom, and abundant life are found only in Christ! I pray for the grace to give up all self-reliance and fear to be loyal and fully devoted to Jesus. "He must become greater, I must become less" (John 3:30).
