The Vision

We live in a world full of pain, trouble, and uncertainty. Jesus’ followers are called to be the light in the darkness, but I see a lot of light bulbs that are scared to shine. This is a huge problem. At the root of everything that is wrong in the world, there is an identity crisis at the center of it. In my personal search for identity, I encountered love. My life began to have meaning when I concluded that God created me and loves me in my best and in my worst. Finding my identity in that which never changes made me complete.

We go through this life seeking to discover our purpose. In a world full of distractions, we simply need to embrace who we are. Instead, we lose sight of what matters: loving God and loving people. What if we focused on what mattered and leveraged everything we have to love well? It was in that moment of reflection that I decided to text eleven friends to go out and intentionally love on people in our city for twenty-four hours. The responses were immediate, all in favor to go. We went out in faith and experienced God working in the hearts of strangers. Right before our eyes, He moved in the hearts of people that longed to be told of God's scandalous love for them.

We knew that God was calling us to something more than just twenty-four hours so we began a network to help young people find their identity in Jesus. We seek to help young people become equipped, become empowered, and become connected. I have learned that when God calls you to something, you listen even when you do not see the full picture because, in that space of trusting, you experience His blessings. We are a group of ordinary people that are leveraging our unique gifts and talents out of an overflow for God's love for us with the hope that others may discover the very reason they were created. We know God wants to change the world and uses anyone who is willing. So we have taken steps of faith and have seen Him work in and through us to draw people to himself.

When we look around us, we see a world with a lot of light bulbs that simply need to be reminded of God's truth and love. So we invite you (entrepreneur, accountant, consultant, lawyer, engineer, web developer, musician, teacher, student, blogger, creative, etc.) to do life with us as we experience freedom in knowing who and whose we are. In following Jesus one comes to the conclusion that He is the only one who can truly fulfill, restore, and satisfy. Together, we have a greater impact in reaching young people and calling them to something greater.

Become the difference.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
